Scene Around Town: benton buckley books and Junior League of Dallas
As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s June 6 issue, I’m featuring scenes from the Dallas launch of /be-spōk/: a philosophy of beauty, a prestigious new coffee table book featuring 30 visionary international interior designers. Philip Thomas Vanderford of Studio Thomas James partnered with benton buckley books to bring together the city's design elite for an evening of art, dialogue, and celebration. Also featured are scenes from the Junior League of Dallas who recently hosted its annual Milestones Luncheon, featuring bestselling author Alex Snodgrass and honoring 2025 Sustainer of the Year Peggy Sewell. The event raised funds to support the League’s mission and benefited its Community Service Fund, which grants nearly $1 million annually to local nonprofits.
