Scene Around Town: American Heart Association and Jewish Family Service

As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s July 25 issue, I’m featuring scenes from Côtes du Coeur, one of Dallas' most glamorous night of giving. Held at the Omni Dallas Hotel, this event raised critical funds for the American Heart Association and featured a five-course culinary experience by top local chefs and highlighted inspiring stories of heart health. Proceeds will support cardiovascular research and community health initiatives. Also highlighted in this issue were images from Jewish Family Service Diamond Anniversary Gala where nearly 600 supporters gathered to celebrate 75 years of impact and also look ahead to the 2026 opening of its new 100,000-square-foot home, The Karla and Larry Steinberg Building.
