Scene Around Town: The Senior Source and Junior League of Dallas

As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s May 2 issue, I’m featuring scenes from The Senior Source who honored Texas business icon and civic leader Elaine Agather, global vice chair for JPMorgan Private Bank at this annual luncheon. Since its inception, the luncheon has raised more than $22M to support older adults and caregivers in Dallas. Also featured are highlights from Junior League of Dallas (JLD) and presenting sponsor, Bank of Texas, who recently held its annual Community Grant Presentation. For the 2025-2026 year, JLD will provide more than 700 volunteers serving 100,000 hours in our community and nearly $1,000,000 in funding to 26 nonprofits and 11 signature projects.
