Scene Around Town: Action With Compassion and Juliette Fowler Communities
As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s September 23 issue, I was pleased to spotlight photos featuring highlights from Kim Olusanya, Founder of Action With Compassion, who recently held a "closet clean out" and gathered donations of clothing and accessories that will benefit victims of domestic abuse at The Family Place. Also featured were scenes from Juliette Fowler Communities One Heart Society who recently gathered supporters at the home of Katie and Bret Pedigo to kick off the 130th Anniversary Celebration of Juliette Fowler Communities, an intergenerational community of residents at various life-stages.
