Scene Around Town: Christ's Family Clinic and the Dallas Arboretum

As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s April 26 issue, I was pleased to share highlights from the Art Of Caring For Others Dinner & Art Auction. This recent event showcased the beauty of local artists, honored Honorary Chairs, Kenneth and Kamela Aboussie, and illuminated the profound impact of supporting Christ's Family Clinic, a primary healthcare facility in Dallas. Also featured the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden who recently held its seventh annual Food and Wine Festival with nearly 1,500 guests in attendance. About 45 chefs served their specialty dishes such as Japanese sushi, Mexican elote and mini fish tacos, Thai fried rice, mouthwatering desserts and more.
