Scene Around Town: Vogel and Compass School of Texas

As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s April 19 issue, I was pleased to share highlights from Vogel's annual Arts Performance Event, chaired by Ramey and Greg Colgan. The event was recently held at the Omni PGA Frisco Resort and featured an unforgettable performance by Barenaked Ladies. Also featured were scenes from The Compass School of Texas who celebrated Texas Independence Day by hosting their first annual spring auction and concert, Rock the Runway. Singer Ryan Bigham helped them raise critical funds to help support the future of their school that is focused on the importance of education in the Dallas community.
