Scene Around Town: House of DIFFA, Klyde Warren Park’s Independence Day Celebration, and Côtes du Coeur
As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In the August 2026 issue, I’m featuring scenes from DIFFA Dallas where hundreds of supporters flocked to the 34th Annual House of DIFFA, presented by the Louis L. Borick Foundation, for an unforgettable evening of fashion, storytelling, and fundraising that benefited North Texas HIV/AIDS service organizations. Also highlighted are images from Klyde Warren Park’s Independence Day Celebration where more than 75,000 guests gathered for the City of Dallas’ Official Independence Day Celebration, presented by Texas Capital, on the Klyde Warren Park grounds. Honorary chairs Ben E. Keith Company and the Kristin and James Hallam Family helped make America's 250th birthday celebration a memorable evening featuring live music, fireworks and patriotic festivities. Lastly, Côtes du Coeur, the American Heart Association’s signature fine wine auction and celebrity chef gala in Dallas, welcomed 800 guests in celebration of its 35th anniversary, and raised $1.1 million during the evening, contributing to a total of $3.4 million raised so far in the yearlong campaign in support of the Association’s lifesaving mission.

No more than 4 people in each shot
No repeats (meaning the same person can’t be in multiple shots)
Guests need to be posed and smiling into the camera. No candids.
You must ID the people in each photo (left to right)
Tell me the name of the event and provide a brief description of the event (no more than 50 words)
Provide the photographer’s name for credit
