Scene Around Town: Sadelle's and CENTRE collab and Aging Mind Foundation hosts annual gala

As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s August 1 issue, I’m featuring scenes from the VIP soiree that launched a capsule collection curated by Mario Carbone and CENTRE Founder, Nick Sunderman. The collection was inspired by Sadelle’s No. 1 address & includes refined Sadelle’s uniform-inspired pieces like embroidered hats, custom butcher jackets, and elevated tees. The event kicked off a full weekend celebration, beginning with the drop of the collection at the Sadelle’s Dallas x CENTRE airstream just outside the Sadelle’s Café entrance. The collaboration is available for purchase online, in Sadelle’s store, & will be available in CENTRE stores around the city.

Also highlighted were scenes from the Aging Mind Foundation who recently hosted its eleventh annual gala at Thompson Dallas, celebrating the organization's mission to fund and advance scientific research focused on finding the causes of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. The Gala was Co-Chaired by Dawn Greiner and Tia Wynne and Honorary Chairs, Tracy and Ben Lange with Link Pharmacy as the Presenting Sponsor. For the second year, The Aging Mind Foundation partnered with The Rainwater Charitable Foundation and its funding partners to support the research grants that will be funded through the 2025 Tauopathy Challenge Workshop. This collaboration amplifies AMF’s grant making efforts by providing access to the most promising scientific research projects designed to find the cause of Alzheimer’s and dementia-related illness.
