Scene Around Town: BubblyQ and SPCA

As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s October 22 issue, I was pleased to spotlight photos featuring highlights from the 13th annual BubblyQ. Young Texans ACS, Chef Dean Fearing, and co-chairs Nicole Craven and Alexis Smith recently hosted this annual soiree at the Ritz-Carlton Dallas. Featuring 12 of Dallas' top chefs, cocktails, a silent and live auction this evening helped raise funds with the single goal to give back to local cancer charities and beneficiaries. Also featured was the SPCA’s Fur Ball 2021. Fur Ball is DFW’s salute to the bond between people and their pets and a celebration of the SPCA of Texas’ important mission to provide every animal exceptional care and a loving home. All money raised through Fur Ball 2021 will go directly to the SPCA of Texas to help rescue, heal and find homes for thousands of animals.
