D Magazine presents A Day In Dallas

Recently, D Magazine partnered with Hance Taplin of “By Way of Dallas” to feature the work of 15 local residents from artists and socialites to civic leaders and restaurateurs. They were asked to participate in a 24-hour challenge: document their ‘typical’ Dallas day from start to finish through the lens of a 35mm Kodak camera. My friend LeeAnne Locken, from Bravo’s Real Housewives of Dallas, was asked to participate so we struck out one day for me to be her personal photographer for this challenge. Using an old-school instant camera was challenging because you just had to trust what you saw through the viewfinder and CLICK! The worst part was no retouching!! So I couldn’t wait to attend the party at Factory Six03 where D Magazine debuted the images to see which of mine they had selected. I had to laugh when I saw that they selected the image I had taken at Steve Kemble and Chad Collom’s house of them all getting IV vitamin drips. I was certain they would have used the one of us shopping at Spanx. LOL. Click HERE to see a gallery of images from the party.
