Scene Around Town: Children's Cancer Fund and Tony Foundation

As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s April 5 issue, I was pleased to share highlights from Children's Cancer Fund model reveal party where Troy Aikman and Dak Prescott, honorary chairs for "A Knight to Remember" Gala on April 19th revealed the 23 courageous young patients who will model at the gala. Also featured are scenes from Tony Foundation who hosted their 4th Annual DFW Golf Fundraiser on March 22, 2024 where  over 106 attendees gathered to support their  mission of providing financial aid to  cancer patients in need.

  • Tell me the name of the event, the location of where it was held, and provide a brief description of the event
