Scene Around Town: KidneyTexas and Dallas Historical Society

As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s February 2 issue, I was pleased to spotlight photos featuring highlights from KidneyTexas, Inc. who recently celebrated beneficiaries from the Runway Report 2023 Luncheon and Fashion Show: Cultivate and Educate with a check presentation. Also featured were scenes from the Dallas Historical Society’s Dallas History Makers Awards For Excellence Luncheon which celebrated distinguished community and business leaders.

Have an event you’d like to submit for editorial consideration? Here’s what you need to email me:

  • Please send 4-8 images for consideration

  • No repeats (meaning the same person can’t be in multiple shots)

  • You must ID the people in each photo (left to right)

  • Tell me the name of the event, the location of where it was held, and provide a brief description of the event

  • Please send one event submission per email with the name of the event in the Subject line
